In this panel, the Economist Intelligence Unit “will share findings from their ‘Skills of the Future’ report where they surveyed business leaders, teachers and students to examine how skills taught in education systems around the world are changing and evolving”.

Inspiring learners with the power of storytelling
This is a keynote by actor, director and author Levar Burton in which he will “discuss the influence of storytelling on his personal life and explain how storytelling engages those around us and impacts learning”.

Making change happens
In this keynote, Lisa bell, founder and CEO of FutureThink, will “provide three practical, actionable suggestions you can try at school or any work place” to start an innovation revolution.

Transforming learning with technology
In this panel, several high-tech district leaders will get to share with you their approaches to improving teaching and learning using technology.

On Saturday, there are sessions on all sorts of topics from the flipped classroom to empowering students through technology, Google apps for education and assessment and literacy to name a few.

Flipquiz

flipquiz-logo2Have you tried using Kahoot in your class? If you have, I am sure your students loved it and one of the first questions they ask when you go into class will surely be, “Are we playing Kahoot today?”

Here is another web application that offers an alternative to Kahoot to play in class. Flipquiz is a useful tool for revising work done in class in a fun way.

EDpuzzle

Aquesta eina permet escollir un vídeo de YouTube o d’altres llocs a la web i preparar una classe o activitat al voltant del vídeo. Pots introduir notes d’àudio al vídeo, reemplaçar l’àudio amb un enregistrament en una altra idioma, pots tallar el vídeo per tal de quedar amb el que t’interessa treballar amb els alumnes i  inserir preguntes de comprensió durant el vídeo que els alumnes han de respondre mentre el miren. Pots crear classes dins de l’eina en línia i així rebre resultats de quins alumnes l’han mirat i els resultats de les preguntes de comprensió.

Sembla una eina molt útil per treballar amb vídeo i alhora per anar endinsant en el model del flipped class.

Cal tenir una compte amb EDpuzzle i per veure el treball dels alumnes, ells també s’hi han de registrar.

He creat un vídeo de prova fent servir material del Khan Academy que la Cecilia ha explicat en l’entrada anterior.

Revisiting the SAMR model
